| The Volkswagen Trooper is a 2 + 2 Camper van with an `elevating` roof, so, as well as two adults, it can accomodate a couple of `younguns` ,.... sleeping in the roof-space, ( roof bed measures :: 1563 mm x 1180 mm .. ( 5` 2" x 3` 11" ) .......alternatively it can be used as convenient storage space instead... The elevating roof and sides are solid, and not canvas, and so arent so prone to the cold weather as the canvas alternatives are.
In the Trooper model, Autosleeper have produced a master-class in campervan design and manufacture, and have set the benchmark by which all other models are judged.
Its compact and yet spacious, the rock `n` roll style- `easy to bed` conversion is so simple compared to many alternatives, and comfortable as well... It Measures As Follows: .. 1911 mm x 1118 mm .. ( 6` 3" x 3` 11" ) ... There are good storage cupboards all around the Trooper, and a hanging wardobe for shirts, trousers, blouses etc.
The galley has a "Spinflo" two burner gas hob and grill, an "Electrolux" electronic ignition 3 x way fridge, and a stainless steel sink with draining board... All covered over when not in use with fold up work tops... Theres a fire extinguisher on-board in the interests of health & safety.
The Trooper has its own on-board gas fired "Carver P4" heating system which has a blown-air facility built in, so its not too dry, its comfortable... If your on a camp-site and able to hook-up to the mains electricity on-board then you have the use of a single mains electric socket, for a kettle, toaster, or perhaps the hairdrier. There`s a 12 x volt socket in the back as well, in addition to the 12 x volt socket in the cab... The cab has also been fitted with a "Kenwood" radio / Single CD player for your musical enjoyment !
This Trooper has a tow bar fitted, so you can always take along some additional camping gear for extra guests ? !!! ... Or maybe you have a small box trailor for taking garden rubbish to the tip on a Sunday morning....
