The Holdsworth Villa is a 2 plus 2 `Elevating Roof` Campervan, based on the Volkswagen Transporter Chassis, and this particular one has Automatic Transmission.
Thing is though, this one has an `elevating` roof which has `solid` sides, ...and so in colder weather the heat insulation is much better than canvas, (which is commonly what the elevating roof sides are made out of).....
Step into the Holdsworth through the large side sliding door and you`ll appreciate the light colour finish of the worktops and cabinets, it has a light and spacious feel...
So, its got an elevating roof with `solid` sides, once the roof is up,.... ( only when the vehicle is stationery ).... its got a lot of roof space that can be used as a childrens sleeping area, or indeed as a useful storage area, for bedding perhaps.... Here`s how it measures up ....
Length :: 5` 0" .( 1520 mm ) .... Width :: 3` 7" . ( 1090 mm ) ... Height Restriction :: 1` 11" . ( 585 mm ).......
The rock `n` roll style double bed down below converts oh so easily from a twin seat sofa.... It measures when folded .. 6` 3" .. (1900 mm ) ... By 3` 6" .. ( 1070 mm ).. So a comfortable nights rest is assured. And when the morning comes along, its easily converted back to a two seater bench with three point seat belts for both rear passengers...
The galley is suprisingly well equipped for a compact campervan like the Holdsworth. It has a Stainless Steel Spinflo 3 x burner gas fired hob and grill, a stainless steel sink and drainer, all covered over when not being used by solid work tops that are hinged. The cold water fill is electrically operated by a foot pump in the floor.....The Holdsworth has built in fresh and waste water tanks which can easily be filled and drained whenever required.
There is an Electrolux electronic ignition 3 x way fridge with ice cube compartment, there`s lots of cupboard space for storage, which includes a cupboard for a Porta-Potti, ( porta potti not supplied ) and cutlery and utensils drawer / s...as well...
There is a small wardrobe for `hanging` garments at the back of the Holdsworth, in addition there is plenty of general `boot` space` available for all those items that simply must be packed....
The Holdsworth has a mains hook-up facilty, and is fitted with a 3 x pin electric socket, so you can take along an electric kettle, toaster, hair drier, whatever you wish, providing of course you are staying somewhere which is in reach of a mains plug !!.. ie camp-site etc ..
There is on-board 12 x volt lighting, and the 12 x volt system is re-charged when the vehicle is being driven, and once your stopped and plugged in.
The cab seats are comfortable, and supportive, so ideal for the longest journey !.. Once your stopped, the passenger seat can be swivelled around....It feels sociable ..
There is a radio / single CD player fitted, electrically operated front cab windows, and air conditioning as well... So you`ll be `comfortable` in the Holdsworth whatever the weather !
