The Autosleeper Amethyst has a 2.5 Turbo Diesel engine, and is based on the Ford Transit Chassis. This conversion, by Autosleeper has long been considered one of the best available, both in terms of quality and in the efficient use of space available.............
Its a three berth motorhome, with kitchen, sleeping and washroom facilities...and has green pattern fabric furnishings, with green carpets.
Autosleeper seem able to build in a feeling of spaciousness with their motorhomes that few other manufacturers achieve...
With the Amethyst you step in at the back on the near-side, the kitchen is at the back, across the vehicle.... There is a "Stoves" 4 x burner gas fired hob, grill and oven.... A sink with draining board, an "Electrolux" 3 x way Fridge, and good worktops for food preparation.... Theres even a drinks cabinet !! ..
The washroom has a `drop-down` sink with hot and cold, theres a Thetford chemical toilet and there`s a shower as well, with a cabinet on the wall for all the sunscreen and toothpaste.
The dining area can seat 4 .. ( the forward facing bench has two seat belts ) so whilst it `accomodates three people, it can seat 6 x people.....
When the dining is done the seats can be converted to bed space quite easily.. Heres how they measure up ::
Double Bed :: 1850 mm x 940 mm .. ( 6` 1" x 3` 1" )... Extended Double :: 1850 x 1980 mm .. ( 6` 1" x 6` 6" )...
Single Bench Bed Down Near-Side :: 1900 x 660 mm .. ( 6` 3" x 2` 2" )...
Heating the Amethyst is simple with the dual fuel.( gas or mains electric ) blown-air heating system, similarly the water heating is also dual fuel from the Carver Cascade Rapide...
There are two mains electric sockets and a 12 x volt and a tv co-axial socket as well.... So whether you are able to `hook-up` to the mains or whether you are reliant on your Leisure battery for 12 x volt power, you can still watch the telly !....
The cab is well appointed with electrically operated windows, pneumatic lumbar adjustments on both seats, and on the drivers seat only you have height, rake and reach adjustments as well.
